Readers struggles – Submarine Guy’s answers
Last week I asked my readers who are on my list from www.SubmarineGuy.com what they were struggling with in their online marketing efforts. The following were common inputs I got from my readers.
Very common themes run through this so good read for all marketers.

Shenika writes:
I’m struggling to make a capture page and to get real quality traffic with my <insert biz-opp> business and I been working with them for over 4 months now and I haven’t had one sale, please can you help?
Three suggestions Shenika:
1. When you only market your biz-opp, your options are limited. The problem is that is what the majority of people do because they don’t understand the basics of marketing. Better to concentrate on building your list with the type of prospects you are seeking. Then you can email them so they get to know, like and trust you from your value-based emails and will be more open to looking at your biz-opp after that. You can also use your email to introduce them to associated products and services, thus building your profit while you build your list looking for folks to join your biz-opp. Most folks either don’t know or forget that you can make money on affiliate sales on a lot of things you use like your autoresponder, your webhost, your funnel system, your lead provider, etc. Those are things that every marketer needs so why not offer them as well for the extra profits? Kind of makes sense. Remember who made the most money in the USA gold rush… it was NOT the miners. It was teh folks who sold picks,shovels and Levi’s (yes that’s where they came from.)
2. March upline in your biz-opp organization until you find someone with a marketing system that works and implement that. That is a proven process to succeed in MLM. Once done, you can start teaching the same and become a leader. We really do MLM backwards… you should learn to market first before joining an MLM. If you did, you would know how to market it successfully from the start!
3. The lead capture page problem has a couple of options.
a. Get a proven LCP design system like Click Funnels and use it to create your LCPs.
b. Or, use your WordPress blog to create LCP’s like I describe in this video. I do that like with this $2k Case Study and they pull quite well.

3. Quality traffic is everywhere! You just have to stand in front of it with your LCP. See my Leads page for options. The fastest is probably solo ads from a place like Udimi.com Start small and make sure your LCP is converting into sales. Then ramp up for maximum profits.

Cold Calls
You have picked the hardest marketing method by far James! I applaud your bravery.
Not sure what specific problem you are having though. If you cold call, you need to have a short message to discern interest from the prospect, then a quick method for them to take the next step; Call info line, watch video online, read blogpost, etc. Once they agree to that, you must get a commitment for them to get back in touch with you. Scheduling a phone call time is the best.

Some free traffic
As you likely know, “Free” is not really free… you have to spend your time with it to get any benefit out of it and your time is certainly worth something!
That said, all of the traffic exchanges and Safelists have free membership options. You can also collect credits for others to see your ads by viewing theirs on the TE or SafeList according to their rules. If you have a product for sale that you created, you can use the services of JVZoo or Warrior Forum to promote it and can gain some free advertising from them. You still have to promote the offer on your own of course.
There are a number of classified advertising sites on the web that you can post ads in for free or a very low cost. You will do well to include a graphic because you will get a far better response with a good graphic. See my Resources page for where to get or design good, free, no-license graphics and how to modify them using free tools.
Learning SEO tactics will help you get organic traffic from YouTube, your blog and other places. Learn how to use SEO tactics and it will serve you well. It’s not as fast as say buying clicks from vendors but it works well over time.

promoting some advertising for <insert bizop> since I am a free member and can get 5% commissions
Promoting for a 5% cut is going to take a LONG time to make much in profits.
I would suggest you find an affiliate product at ClickBank that is in your area of interest and create a LCP and blogpost around it to generate some sales. Most of the ClickBank products pay 50% to 75%.

Obviously, LCP’s, building your list and Sales Funnels are not just important for almost every form of marketing but are critical for your success as a marketer. You can’t do without them for long.
